Troubleshooting

Use these steps to resolve the most common issues.

Quick fixes

  1. Refresh the page in your browser.
  2. If the issue persists, start a new session and reinvite participants.

Can’t join a session

  • You’re signed in but trying to join a guest session: open the invitation link in an incognito/private window.
  • The invite link has expired: sessions automatically expire 24 hours after creation. Ask the host to create a new session.
  • It’s an organization session: only members of the creator’s organization can join. Ask the host to confirm your access.

Invite link doesn’t work

  • Verify you’re using the latest link from Invite players > Copy invitation link.
  • If you see an error or the page won’t load, refresh the page. If it still fails, ask the host to start a new session.

“Room is full” or someone can’t join

  • Sessions support up to 16 participants. Remove someone from the room or start a new session.

Wrong deck or need a different scale

  • You can’t change the scale after the session starts. Start a new session with the correct scale.

Cards won’t reveal or votes look stuck

  • Any participant can click Reveal cards.
  • Check the dots under avatars: gray = hasn’t voted, green = voted.
  • If the UI seems frozen or out of sync, refresh the page. If it continues, start a new session and reinvite.

Avatar can’t be changed

  • Guests use auto‑generated avatars. Sign in and update your profile to use a custom avatar.

Performance or sync issues

  • Refresh the page.
  • Try another modern browser and/or disable extensions that modify web pages.
  • If several participants are affected, start a new session and reinvite.

Still need help?

  • Create a new session and reinvite your team. Most issues resolve with a fresh session.
