Quickstart: Run a free session (guest)

Start estimating in under a minute. You don’t need an account to create or join a session.

Create your session

1. Go to the Planning Poker landing page and click Start a Free Session.
2. In the Start Planning Poker Session dialog, choose a scale:
   • Fibonacci
   • Modified Fibonacci
   • T‑Shirt Sizes
   • Custom — provide values for this session only.
3. If you select Custom, enter comma‑separated values in Custom values (for example: ”0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, ?”).
4. Click Start Session.
5. Enter your display name in Your name and click Create & Join.

Notes

• Guest sessions are open to anyone with the invitation link.
• If a user is signed in to Mumu and needs to join a guest session, they must open the link in an incognito/private window.

Invite teammates

1. Click Invite players.
2. Click Copy invitation link and share it with your team.

Run a round

1. Pick a card from the deck at the bottom of the screen.
2. Watch the dot under each avatar:
   • Gray dot - the participant hasn’t voted yet.
   • Green dot - the participant has voted.
3. You can change your pick as many times as you want until cards are revealed.
4. When you’re ready, click Reveal cards. Any participant can reveal.
5. Review everyone’s picks and the displayed average.
6. Click Start new round and continue estimating.

Limits

• Up to 16 participants can join a session.
• You can run unlimited rounds in a single session.
• Sessions expire automatically after 24 hours.
• Guest avatars are auto‑generated. To set a custom avatar, sign in and update your profile.
