FAQ and limits

Who can create a session?

  • Anyone. Guests can start a free session without signing up. Signed‑in users can start organization‑restricted sessions from the app.

How many people can join a session?

  • Up to 16 participants per session.

Can I run multiple rounds in one session?

  • Yes. Click Start new round after revealing the previous round.

Who can reveal the cards?

  • Any participant can click Reveal cards. It’s not limited to the host.

What do the dots under avatars mean?

  • Gray dot — the participant hasn’t voted yet.
  • Green dot — the participant has voted.

How do I invite teammates?

  • Click Invite players, then Copy invitation link and share the URL.

Can I join a guest session if I’m signed in to Mumu?

  • Yes. Open the invitation link in an incognito/private browser window to join as a guest.

How do avatars work?

  • Guests get auto‑generated avatars.
  • Signed‑in users’ profile avatars are used in sessions and can be changed from their profile.

Which scales are available?

  • Built‑in: FibonacciModified Fibonacci, and T‑Shirt Sizes.
  • Guests can also provide a one‑off Custom scale when starting a session.
  • Signed‑in users can manage reusable scales for their organization under Planning poker > Scales.

Are custom scales saved for future use?

  • Guest custom scales are not saved.
  • Signed‑in users can create and save scales for their organization.

Do sessions expire?

  • Yes. Sessions expire automatically after 24 hours. Invitation links stop working when the session expires.

Can I change my card before the reveal?

  • Yes. You can change your pick as many times as you want until the cards are revealed. After the reveal, votes are locked.

Can the host change the scale mid‑session?

  • No. To use a different scale, start a new session.

Are observers supported?

  • No. All attendees are participants and count toward the 16‑person limit.

Can I export results or history?

  • Not currently. Export/history is planned for a future release for signed‑in users.
