To enter presentation mode:

  1. Navigate to your Q&A session management page
  2. Ensure you have Host permissions for the session
  3. Click Presentation mode to switch to presentation view
  4. Your session opens in the live presentation interface

Understanding the Presentation Interface

Clean Display Layout

The presentation mode provides a simplified, distraction-free interface optimized for:

  • Large screen display suitable for projectors and monitors
  • Clear typography that's readable from a distance
  • Minimal interface elements to focus attention on content
  • Professional appearance appropriate for business settings

Session Information

At the top of the screen, you'll see:

  • Session name prominently displayed
  • Question counter showing current position (e.g., "Question 1 of 1")

Question Display

Each question appears with:

  • Participant name or "Anonymous" if submitted anonymously
  • Question text in large, readable font
  • Vote count showing participant engagement level
  • Navigation buttons to move between questions

Navigating Questions

Moving Between Questions

Use the Previous and Next buttons to navigate through your approved questions:

  • Previous: Returns to the earlier question in the sequence
  • Next: Advances to the following question

Question Ordering

Questions appear in the presentation interface based on:

  1. Vote priority: Questions with more votes appear earlier
  2. Submission time: Among questions with equal votes, earlier submissions appear first
  3. Moderation status: Only published questions appear in presentation mode

Best Practices for Live Presentations

Pre-Presentation Preparation

Technical Setup:

  • Test presentation mode on your actual display equipment
  • Ensure font size is readable from the back of the room
  • Check that all approved questions appear correctly
  • Have a backup presenter familiar with the interface

Content Preparation:

  • Review all questions before starting the live session
  • Prepare transitions between different question topics
  • Identify questions that require additional context or preparation

During the Presentation

Engaging with Questions:

  • Read each question aloud to ensure all participants hear it clearly
  • Acknowledge the questioner when questions aren't anonymous
  • Provide context for questions that reference earlier discussion
  • Connect questions to broader themes when appropriate

Managing Flow:

  • Spend appropriate time on each question based on complexity and audience interest
  • Monitor time to ensure all important questions are addressed
  • Group similar questions together for comprehensive coverage
  • Save complex questions for dedicated discussion time

Audience Interaction:

  • Encourage follow-up questions from the live audience
  • Acknowledge vote counts to show which questions resonated most
  • Thank participants for their engagement and quality questions
  • Invite real-time clarification when questions need more detail

Managing Technical Issues

Common Challenges:

  • Slow loading: Refresh the presentation interface if questions don't appear
  • Display issues: Check browser zoom settings for optimal text size
  • Content updates: New questions may require refreshing the presentation view

Advanced Presentation Techniques

Multi-Presenter Coordination

Role Distribution:

  • Primary presenter handles question reading and main responses
  • Subject experts provide detailed technical or specialized answers
  • Moderator manages timing and identifies follow-up questions
  • Technical support handles interface issues and backup systems

Coordination Strategies:

  • Pre-assign question topics to specific presenters
  • Have clear transitions between presenters for different questions
  • Establish a process for handling unexpected or complex questions

Engaging Large Audiences

Visibility Optimization:

  • Use the largest possible display for question text
  • Consider reading questions aloud for audio-only participants
  • Repeat key parts of questions if needed for clarity
  • Ensure lighting doesn't interfere with screen visibility

Interaction Management:

  • Acknowledge the audience engagement represented by vote counts
  • Encourage real-time reactions and additional questions
  • Use questions as springboards for broader discussion
  • Create opportunities for audience members to elaborate on submitted questions

Post-Question Discussion

Extending Engagement:

  • Use questions to launch deeper discussion with the live audience
  • Ask for show of hands on topics raised in submitted questions
  • Invite elaboration from question submitters if they're present
  • Connect questions to organizational priorities or future planning

Measuring Presentation Success

Engagement Indicators

  • Question quantity: Number of questions submitted during and after presentation
  • Vote participation: Level of voting activity on questions
  • Follow-up engagement: Additional questions or discussion generated
  • Audience feedback: Direct comments about the Q&A process

Post-Presentation Review

  • Review which questions generated the most engagement
  • Analyze voting patterns to understand audience priorities
  • Gather feedback on the presentation format and flow
  • Document lessons learned for improving future sessions

Troubleshooting

Display Problems

  • Text too small: Adjust browser zoom or display settings
  • Questions not appearing: Refresh presentation mode and check question approval status

Content Issues

  • Wrong questions showing: Verify question approval status in moderation interface
  • Missing recent questions: Refresh presentation view to load newly approved content
  • Outdated information: Check that you're viewing the correct session

Technical Support
