Introduction

The Core module in Mumu platform is the central hub for your team's organizational structure. It provides a comprehensive solution for visualizing your company hierarchy, managing employee profiles, organizing teams and departments, and keeping essential information accessible to everyone. Whether you're a growing startup or an established organization, Core helps you understand team dynamics, find the right people, and maintain clarity across your entire organization.

How It Works

  • Set Up Your Structure: Define unit types (departments, teams, projects) and create organizational units
  • Add Members: Invite team members and create their profiles with contact information
  • Assign Roles: Define organization-wide roles and unit-specific positions with associated skill requirements
  • Build the Hierarchy: Assign members to units with their roles, designate managers, and establish reporting lines
  • Visualize & Navigate: Use the interactive organization chart to explore your company structure
  • Track Competencies: View aggregated skills at the unit level based on member self-assessments

Getting Started

To start using the Core module:

  • Navigate to Organization in your dashboard
  • Click Members to add team members to your organization
  • Define Unit types that match your organizational structure
  • Create Unit roles for positions within teams and departments
  • Build your organizational structure by creating Units
  • Use the Org Chart to visualize your organization and assign members to roles
  • Set up Roles & Permissions to control access across different modules
